Nope. Though I would like to stay home and concentrate on being a mom and a writer, my DH and I have over $100k in student loans. Stupid grad school Chat Icon.

Re: Thirsty Thrusday QOTD!**!**

I wish I had the option to stay home-

but we need my benefits and 401k (I work for a major company), DH has his own practice-we both make good salaries, but I have the steady consistent income.

I will look into shortening my hours to 30 hours/week which is still considered full time.

We'll see.

DH is off on Tues and Thursday, I'm off Sat & Sundays-so we will really only need help on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Which isn't so bad Chat Icon

I'm a stay at home wife now Chat Icon So yes, I will be a SAHM. Once the LO's are in school full time I will probably get something part time just to keep busy.

I am torn - I would think I would like to - but I feel that I would actually miss working. Maybe for the first few years I will stay home, but then I will need a job once they are in school!

Since I am already a SAHM to my DD once #2 comes along I plan on continuing to stay home with my children. Being home was something DH and I had agreed on years and years and years ago. No matter how hard it's been financially giving up my income it's been SO, SO, SO worth it. I would rather do without then have to go to work every day and not be with my sweet little Emerson. I don't miss teaching one bit and I LOVE every second that I've spent at home with my DD. Best decision I ever made. Chat Icon

OMG, the same exact thought makes me sick too!! My mom will be down in North Carolina by the time we have a LO around.

ETA: I totally missed the point of the QOTD!! OOPS! I'm a teacher, so it really does depend. I would love to try to coordinate it so I can tack on the summer, but who knows?!

Nope, I'll be a working Mom. I have the larger salary, so it wouldn't work financially. And while I would LOVE to stay home with our kids, I think I'd miss working.

I will probably take a year off from work...all depends on when LO was born. We'll see when we have kids what will ultimately happen.
