Good Morning Ladies! This question popped into my head on the way to work, so I figured I would ask.

What is your favorite children's book and why? Will you share it with your LO?

My favorite children's book is "Oh The Places You'll Go!" I love this book because I think it is inspiring for kids and adults. It has a lot of parts that all of us can relate to in life.
Today I am giving a NYS test and my kids are very nervous. I have a quote from the book as my morning message for them to feel good about themselves. (Trying to give them positive energy!) Chat Icon

I was very fortunate in the sense that I learned to read at a VERY young age...when I was 3 or 4, "Ready Set Read" was my favorite book. I can't tell you what it was about because I can't remember Chat Icon, but I remember carrying that book everywhere that I went:

Other books I remembered enjoying were: The Secret Garden, Tuck Everlasting, and Blubber.

Re: **MONDAY QOTD**

I LOVED the book "A Pocket for Corduroy"...where the little girl's favorite teddy bear gets lost at the laundromat. I seriously think I took this book out of the library 200 times as a kid!!

I haven't thought about it in years...this question makes me want to go out and buy it so I can read it to our future LO!!

I cant remember any books I read as a small child. I do remember reading all the Nancy Drew books when I was a little older but I will definitely read to my LO, I love to read so I would love them to enjoy it as much as I do.

As an elementary school teacher I cannot even name just one. I am a HUGE, HUGE, HUGE Dr. Seuss fan, I love "Click, Clack, Moo" by Doreen Cronin and I LOVE all of the "Strega Nona" books by Tomie dePaola. At only 19 months old my DD has already been exposed to TONS of great childrens books thanks to her Mommy's extensive library collection. Chat Icon Chat Icon

When I was little, I LOVED anything by Shel Silverstein. DH did too, so I'm sure they'll be part of our LO's library.

If you love "Oh the Places You'll Go" there is a really cute book called "Oh, Baby, The Places You'll Go: A Book To Be Read In Utero" that is just adorable. I use to read it to my DD while I was pregnant and I always would get choked up at the end. It's just very sweet. You will love it. Below is the link to it on Amazon. Chat Icon

I loved so many books as a child, I think the one that sticks out the most is Grover's Bad Awful Day.
