How long have you been trying...
How long have you been trying for a baby with the help of fertility treatment?

I had 6 months of treatments (7-8 months including consult & testings) before I got pregnant:
3 IUIs
1 cycle of stim: no IUI (I had a meeting)
1 break month
1 month of IVF
That was everything going perfectly.
But, of course, I tried HARD over a year before going to a RE (with OPKs, ect from day 1). I don't count just plain ol BD as "trying."

We got our BFP on our 3rd cycle with a RE.
We had been trying for about 7 months before making our first appointment.

depends how you look at it.
technically we have been TTC since May 2009 - so 11+ months. BUT in that time I have only had about 5 real cycles.
started with the RE in november 2009 - so 5+ months. that breaks out into the following:
-1 clomid cycle - anov
-2 injectable/femara cycles - 1 hyperstim, 1 successful O but chemical pregnancy
-1 BCP cycle in the middle due to hyperstiming
-i am now in my first metformin cycle (but its been 6 weeks so far since i dont regularly O) cause we are taking a break from heavy meds til early may

BUT
I did become pregnant 2 times, unfortunately I had late miscarriages, last one was 20 weeks( all because of down syndrome- )
So that took up months, then months to re-cover, plus some extra months to re- group

With the RE.... been trying for 3 months  feels like much longer than that!!
In that time I've been on 2 medicated IUI cycles- though the 2nd one I suppose there is still a chance for!!

Thank you to those ladies that have gotten their BFP and still continue to pay this forum visits! It really gives us hope and something to look forward to.
To those of us that are still trying - I hope we will get there someday! I will keep you ladies in my prayers.

With fertility help...4 months,
On our own for 5 months and then tested for fertility issues and moved right to IVF/ICSI.

3 months on our own. Then I found out I wasn't ovulating. Gyno prescribed me clomid for 3 months. Worked as far as making me ovulate but I didn't get pregnant. I have my first appointment with an RE on May 3rd. So 6 months total.
