Thursday QOTD
Happy Thursday!!! only 1 more day
Growing up did you share a room with a sibling/s? Will you have your DC share a room with their sibling?

Re: Thursday QOTD
No, fortunately, I didn't share a room with my brother.
If we stay in our small house for our 2nd child, we will make a room out of our attic, so no they probably won't have to share. Ideally, I'd like 3 kids (just need baby no. 1 to start it off ), but I think we'll move into a larger home by that point.

Re: Thursday QOTD
For a short time I shared a room with my sister, but by the time I was in 5th grade we moved and then I always had my own room.
The house we bought last year has 4 bedrooms. I only want 2 kids so they will not need to share unless they want to

Re: Thursday QOTD
I shared with my sister until we were 6 (me) and 9 (her). Then we each had our own rooms but would often have sleepovers on her bedroom floor!
I would like our DC's to share a room when they're younger, but then have their own rooms once they're ready

My sister and I always had sleepovers because I had a daybed.

Re: Thursday QOTD
I think my sister and I shared a room until I was 5 and she was 2 but then we moved and always had our own rooms. Like Katareen also did...my sister and I would have a sleepover in my room.
Our house has 4 bedrooms but only 2 are available to be a kid's room which is good because I only want 2 kids. So they will not have to share a room unless they want to have sleepovers like I did when I was a kid.

Re: Thursday QOTD
I never shared a room with my sister. DH never shared with his brothers, but his brothers did. (3 boys, he as the oldest had his own room, the other 2 had bunk beds). We only want 2 so they won't need to share. If we move we'll see, we need at least 4 bedrooms (which we have in the house we rent now) b/c my family, and most of my friends, are out of town so I'd like to have a guest room.

Re: Thursday QOTD
I have a big family so I shared a room with a lot of my sisters. And I always hung out in my brothers room. I loved it but when I was probably about 14-15 i got my own room and that was nice cause after a certain age you want your privacy I wouldnt mind my children sharing a room when they are little but eventually they will have their own room.

Re: Thursday QOTD
My sister and I are 6 almost 7 years apart so for awhile I had my own room, then we shared for a few years but the room was HUGE. When I was about 11 we got our own rooms and it's was that way until I moved into our basement apartment at like 18.
ETA: I forgot to answer the second part. If we're still in our apartment when we have a second they will have to share a room as there won't be a third bedroom. But hopefully we'll be in a house by then and have the extra space.

Re: Thursday QOTD
When we were little we had separate rooms, then when I moved in with my dad at 7 y/o (sister was 3) we shared a room from then until I left for college. When I moved back home I had my own room.
I guess for my kids it will depend on what kind of space we have. I'm not opposed to them sharing a room if they're the same gender and there's not a large age difference. Different genders I'd have in separate rooms, and if there's a large age difference (hope not), I'd prob give them separate rooms so the older one could have more privacy.

Re: Thursday QOTD
I grew up sharing a room with two of my sisters. I think it contributed to how close we are. When my third sister was born (I was 14) I finally got my own room. Later on, we all had our own room.
I would like my LOs to share when they are little but then have their own rooms when they get older.

Re: Thursday QOTD
I never shared a room. Depending on how close together our kids are, they may have to share a room for a little while if we are still in our 2Br.
