Baked ziti questions

2 questions:

1. When you make baked ziti with ricotta, do you add an egg to the cheese?

2. Do you mix the cheese with the pasta or layer it like lasagna?

I've seen people do it both ways. i usually do not add an egg and always mix the cheese in the pasta (LOTS of cheese).

I do it the same way as you. I also use ground beef in mine.

no egg for baked ziti. I mix it all before baking. Lots of ricotta, mozzarella, sauce and ground beef.

1. When you make baked ziti with ricotta, do you add an egg to the cheese? yes along with a block of mozzarella cubed and homemade gravy

2. Do you mix the cheese with the pasta or layer it like lasagna? I take the mixture mentioned above and mix it with the pasta then put it in the pan and add shredded mozzarella on top then a bit more sauce
