Annoyed (just a vent, really)
I was on Clomid for 5 days this cycle, and went in on Friday for a check. My doctor was apparently running late, so another doctor did the sono. He said my eggs looked about ready and that I should come in for IUIs on Sunday (today) and Monday. I asked if I should do the Ovidrel shot (as I did the last time I did a Clomid cycle) and he said no, it looks like I was going to O on my own (which I always do, anyway). I really think MY doctor would have said to do the shot, but there was nothing I could do. The doc said that if I go in today and haven't surged, they'd give me the shot at the time of the IUI.
Well, lo and behold, as of this morning, I haven't surged. The more I think about this, the more I am just plain ANNOYED that I am going in today - because it just feels like a total WASTE. So when I go in today I am not near O, and they give me the shot, and then I go in probably less 24 hrs later? That just seems WRONG. Ugh - I don't need any more of my time wasted in this TTC process - and that's exactly what I feel like is happening. WHY wouldn't he have given me the ovidrel shot in the 1st place so we would be SURE I'd be Oing today?!?!

I went in today and the doc said my eggs are totally ready, so they gave me the HCG shot and I'll be going back in tomorrow for the 2nd IUI. I've gotta believe the doc knows what she's doing, so here's to hoping this is finally THE month!!!

Ugh, that is frustrating...sorry!
But, if this is THE month, you won't care how many times you had to go in!

Oh "Here" I totally feel your pain! My doc kept putting off starting me on Clomid despite my PCOS diagnosis because "my ovaries don't look that bad".....everytime he would say it (me on the table sono wand in place) I wanted to say "yeah doc? hows that baby look, oh yeah THERE ISN'T ONE THERE!!!"
I'm a nurse, I know they avoid hormonal triggers and fertility meds as long as possible for our overall health our cancer risks and other issues increase with fertility treatment but when you're the patient it just seems like STALLING!!!!
anyway, this months he gave me clomid and I'm thinking happy thoughts and sending lots of to us all!!!
