BFN, but with questions

This month was our first month TTC'ing. On Friday I was at CD 25 when I noticed in the morning when I went to the bathroom there was a slight very light pinkish mark on the TP. I took a HPT an got a BFN. Throughout the day I would have the same thing on the TP once or twice, but it was always very faint spotting. Same exact thing happened yesterday (CD 26), BFN test, but VERY slight spotting. Then today, I got AF.

Where I am confused is...

At first I though I had implementation bleeding, b/c I NEVER spot but I am assuming it was AF really early?? Has this ever happened to anyone? I usually have 28 day cycles, so AF on CD 25 is kind of strange for me

2nd part...when do you think my CD 1 is...on friday or today, when I got the usual start to AF, not the very light spotting.

That happens for me sometimes so I dont think its abnormal. CD1 is the day of regular flow so if that was today then you are CD1.

Did you just come off BCP?

I had this spotting about 3 days before I got AF. this happened to me for the 1st 3 months off the pill

I counted from the day I fully got AF. not from the day I started spotting.

Thanks for the responses! I appreciate it! I have actually been off the pill since Aug. This is the first month TTC, and also the first month I got this spotting
