can you prepare stuff in the crockpot, and put it in the fridge at night, then put it in the crockpot in the morning??Chat Icon

I would be very careful with that, it's not like Pyrex: it may crack. If you decide to do it, I would take it out of the fridge a good hour or so before turning on the crock pot so that the "crock" can get close to room temperature.

I probably wouldn't. Maybe you can prep what will go in, store it in a tupperware in the fridge overnight and then just pop into the crock pot in the morning? One extra thing to clean but even with pyrex if you change the temp too quickly from cold to hot there have been cases of them shattering.

Same here. I have done this several time. To bring it to room temp you can take it out an hour before hand.

i do the prep work the night before and store the meat/veggies in tupperware in the fridge and then transfer them to the crockpot in the morning
