My furniture is on BACKORDER!!!!

I ordered from Behr's in FEBRUARY! And just decided to check up on it yesterday. They called me back today and said it's on backorder until the beginning of June. I'm due June 8th!!! I'm freaking out now. I just called the manufacturer and left a message. What else can I do?

The girl that called me wasn't so helpful. She said call Behr's and maybe they can get me something in stock....I'm like no, I want the furniture I ordered

The same thing happened to me, except not from Behrs. I wound up cancelling and buying something from instock at BRU and actually I like it better than what I had ordered.

I received a notice on 9/18 that my furniture that was supposed to be delivered on 10/5 was backordered too. When the baby was born early on 9/19, I called them & said "He's here. I'm going to need that furniture sooner than 10/5." They had it there by 10/1.

Call & ask again. If you get someone who isn't helpful, ask to speak to a manager.

Also what we learned in the 2 weeks w/o furniture -- -all you need is to borrow a bassinet, have clothes, diapers & wipes. We had a storage bin that doubled as a changing table. You really don't need the furniture until they outgrow the bassinet.

The same thing happened to me with BRU. It was on backorder since January. It is still not in. I decided to pick out something different. I couldn't wait that long. I am the type of person that everything has to be done or I freak out. I feel your pain

Thanks girls. I called the manufacturer....just waiting for them to call me back. I'll figure something out by tomorrow. I just knew something like this would happen.

so sorry. I find it unreal that it takes as long as it does to order this furniture. It's insane. And then to have something go wrong on top of already having to wait 3 mos. ugh And of all places, Behr's is supposed to be a local family business with such personal caring customer service and yet they seem just as bad as the big baby stores.

I know. The manufacturer never even called me back today. I cannot wait to get to work tomorrow and straighten this out somehow. I figure they owe me something!

This is the exact reason I told DH we should start looking/ordering something now (I'm 16 weeks). He thinks you can walk into the store anytime and have something delivered 2 days later.

My furniture was delivered 2 days before I gave birth! If you have a bassinet then don't worry about it, you will be using that for the first 3 mos or so anyway........
