Third Point of View w/ Update
I’m a frequent poster (but decided to go hiding since I have friends and family that frequent the site!) It S UCKS!
 To All
ETA: I spoke with DH today and he totally made me feel much better. He reminded me why I fell in love with him and why he is the love of my life!!  He always has the right thing to say.. and then he said "Ok, snap out of it and wait for me upstairs we have some BDing to do!!"

first I would tell DH the true reason for you not wanting to try.
As far as should you wait....if thats what you and DH decide then wait but I would not put my life on hold for other family members unless it was a life or death issue type thing. Having a baby should only be between you and DH and not drama that is going on in the family....that drama could go on for a long time.

Sorry you have to deal with all the drama she seems to cause, but honestly, I wouldn't stop trying just because she got a BFP.
It sounds like you've had your plan for awhile and it also sounds like the family expects that you guys will have a kid soon. I don't think anyone will think you're competiting with her or trying to steal her thunder.
My BIL and SIL just got married and plan to wait a while, but if they got pregnant right now, I definitely wouldn't put my plans on hold.
I do think you can tell your DH the reason.

I'm a true believer that you don't put your life on hold for someone else...you have to do whats right for you and DH, but don't make choices like that based on someone elses opinions of you...

I can ALMOST relate b/c I have a family member who had a few quite uncelebrated pregnancies. . . the contrast IS kind of awkward. For example, the family was crying tears of joy when I told them instead of being devastated by the news.
But, this is my totally harsh opinion and I apologize before hand. I think it is immature to wait for someone else to live your OWN life. Just live it, and do what you want.
