My puppy has pnemonia

My 5 month old puppy was just diagnosed with pnemonia. The poor thing just got over an infection from being spayed (that she had before we adopted her) and now this! I feel so helpless, and so guilty, like I could have prevented it. I noticed she was having trouble barking, and shaking and breathing loudly, after being completely fine this morning, rushed her to the vet after about an hour of that and bringing her back tomrorow for more IV treatments.

Does anyone know of anything I can do to try to help make her more comfortable? I am so heartbroken hearing her stuggle to breath :(

Oh no.... did they say anything about putting some lemon in her water? We do that for Sarge due to his issues and it helps.

OMG, poor baby!! I doubt you could have done everything to prevent this. I never heard of it either.

Did it occur as a result of the spaying? Could they have made an error during the surgery? There is such a thing as aspiration pneumonia which can occur after being under anesthesia...how soon after the spaying did the pneumona occur>?

I would seek a second opinion if I were you, just to be on the safe side and to be sure the puppy is on the road to recovery.
