We went apple picking this year - and I decided to pick up the kit for the candy and carmel apple mix since we love the candy apples.

Well I followed the directions and dipped the apples when the mix thickened up, put the apples in the refrigerator and most of the mix dripped off the apples.

I can't figure out what I did wrong.
Has anyone ever had success making them?

I might get it another try if you have some tips or advice for me!
