Did any mommies get
a jogging stroller?
I have an Eddie Bauer stroller right now but was considering replacing it for a jogging stroller. I'm not one of those jogging moms but would like something for when I go to the boardwalk or around town.
Do you think it's a waste of money or a good investment?
What are some of the pros/cons that I'm not seeing... ??
TIA Mommies!!

I am torn about this too...I plan on spending a lot of time on the boardwalk this summer and right now I have the Pliko and a Maclaren umbrella...
Is it worth it though?

Huge fan of my Chicco C5.

Lightweight, takes up little room in the Escape, reclines, one hand open and fold, cup holder, bag underneath, bag in back, nice handles for DH and I, rain cover, easy for airports and on loose dirt, grass and some sand. And Under 100 bucks! All the jogger's I know are pretty long and have big wheels so they take up a good amount of room

Re: Did any mommies get
If your not going to use it for jogging then I wouldn't buy it waste of $$ (IMO), I would just get an umbrella stroller.

Re: Did any mommies get
If you are a runner, then I highly suggest getting it. I used mine all the time. However to bring them into the mall, etc is just a pain in the azz because they are awkward. Now that I have two children, I have to get the double jogger and I'm not sure I want to spend the money associated with a double jogger.

Re: Did any mommies get
IMO a jogging stroller is easy to use outdoors you dont have to lift the stroller up to get onto a sidewalk I loved having one but like it was said in a previous post ......its not that great in a mall or Target

Re: Did any mommies get
Like Laurie, we have the Chicco C5 and love it. We have been taking lots of walks along Lake Michigan and it works great and is easy to manuver. It also folds up well in the back of our CR-V, so I can go food shopping or even to Costco with it still in the trunk.
I have the Eddie Bauer stroller like you do and I like the Chicco stroller so much better.

I have the Mountain Buggy Urban Single, which is designed like a jogging stroller with three big air filled tires, but the front wheel swivels for easier manuevering. If you aren't planning to run with it I think its great. I take three mile walks with it over unever terrain, and even in 6 inches of snow, its been fabulous!

I have a Jeep walking stroller for $90. They sell it in ToysRUs & BRU. The front wheel is swivels(most jogging strollers do not) so its easy to turn corners.........

Re: Did any mommies get
I have a jogging stroller (in addition to my Maclaren) and love it. I only use it for running or long walks. You should definitely get one if you run- it has 2 things that a regular stroller doesn't have: a brake on the handlebar and a strap to wrap around your wrist so the stroller doesn't run away from you.
If you get one, you'll probably use it for years and if you have a 20% off BBB coupon, it's even better!

Re: Did any mommies get
I'd LOVE to get one if they weren't so expensive...I wouldn't run or jog with it, but using them for long walks is soooo nice!!
My friend has one for her 2 boys and I swear, that thing just GLIDES down the street She paid about $350 for it though.
