Did you gals see this today....
and yet something else to worry about:
Today Show - Woman Implanted with Wrong Embryo
This was not done by any of our very good NY clinics. I really don't know how this could have happened. Just horrible.

OMG, I can't believe that really happened. That was one of my biggest fears when doing IVF, and I was extremely relived that our ID's & my bracelet was checked numerous times during the retrieval & transfers. That poor couple!

I feel so badly for these people!! I wonder how the dr's realized they implanted the wrong embryo into her.

YIKES. I cannot imagine what they are going through. I think we've all probably feared that happening. I am always appreciative when they confirm our info multiple times before an IUI (and I imagine they will before the ER and ET). What an enormously difficult situation.

I saw this on this morning. It's hard to accept but unfortunately anything that can go wrong I am sure has gone wrong at one time or another.
All we can do is trust our healthcare providers and hope that this never happens to us!

Wow. What a story. I admire that family for providing a healthy nine months for that baby. I can't imagine walking a mile in their shoes. And to have other children to have to explain it to! Wow.

I saw it this morning and felt so terribly for that couple. I can't even imagine, although I have to admit, the whole time I was pregnant I had this thought in the back of my mind "what if they put in someone else's sperm (I had IUI)?"
I joked about it afterwards, telling DH I breathed a sigh of relief when DS came out looking like him, but it was a real fear of mine.

DD is an IVF baby and she looks nothing like me. Thank goodness she looks just like DH. I sometimes joke that I got the wrong embryo but this is no laughing matter. I smell a huge lawsuit.
