Mario Batali's Babbo!
DH and are going to Mario Batali's Babbo restaurant in the Village tonight! DH WORSHIPS Mario and he is so excited to go, he's like a kid at Christmas. DH grew up eating Northern Italian food, the cuisine Babbo focuses on, so he is so excited for the food.
Anyone been?

I have been. It is good. I have enjoyed other restaurants more, but I liked it.

weve been , its very authentic italian. its was very good , i would say you wont find his menu in most places...

I've been wanting to try this resturant for some time. My family is from Northern Italy, so I also grew up on typical Northern cuisine.
Since most Italian resturants focus on Southern Italian dishes, I'd be interested to see how they execute a "Northern" menu.

Since most Italian resturants focus on Southern Italian dishes, I'd be interested to see how they execute a "Northern" menu.
GO to babbo! we just came back and it was AMAZING! Dh's father is from the Piacenza area and grew up on the northern cuisine. we had the most amazing pasta with funghi...very traditional.

WOAH...My father is from Piacenza...I bet your DH's family know my family...ESP if they go to the dinner dances
