How do you clean your microwave?
The inside part?
what cleaning products do you use? I have some caked on yuckiness....but scared to use anything too harsh because of proximity to food and fumes....
how often do you clean yours?

I put a little dish soap in a bowl of water and nuke that for a few minutes to loosen up any caked on food then I wipe it down.
I only use it 4 or 5 times a month and use a food cover to prevent splatters, so I dont really clean it too often. Maybe every 3 months or so.

If its caked on....I would use reallllly hot water and soap and use a sponge, papertowel, or a clorox wipe to get it off.
Otherwise, I use Clorox Anywhere spray then wipe it w/ a Clorox wipe.

to get caked on stuff off, I just use dish soap and a sponge. To disinfect, I use vinegar & water in a spray bottle and paper towels

I only use soap & water or vinegar & water. I never use Clorox or anything with a chemical in it because of the food proximity.

Ditto. I also put the sponge in the water while it's nuking and then leave it in there for a minute. It doesn't take long and it's the first thing I do before I clean the kitchen b/c it also cleans the sponge.

I also add a few slices of lemon so it smells really fresh.

boil a cup of water in it, then wallah, wipe clean. then use clorox anywhere for the finish

get a splatter cover, you won't have the same issue...
i very rarely clean my microwave, but it is clean as a whistle.
Dh doesn't use the splatter sheild as often as i'd like though....
