i think you are gonna get a lot of mixed responses -- some people are still weary of going there and others will say they'd go.
if it was Cancun/Cozumel/Riviera Maya -- yes I would still go.
I'm not nearly as concerned about swine flu as I am about the violence on the Western side of the county closer to border towns and the shootings around Acapulco.

I am planning a trip to mexico in September
there is more swine flu in NY these days
I am not one to live in fear- Check out cheap carribean.com - they have amazing deals right now
I am doing 10 days at an AI 4 star resort for $2000 with air
we just spent $1550 for 5 days to DR
so based on that- I think it's worth it

I'm going to Mexico in September. You can get Swine Flu anywhere, so I'm not worried about that. And the violence is not near where we are going. It's like saying don't go to the US because of violence in NY. There are amazing deals in Mexico right now so I def took advantage!

mexico was actually a huge discussion at an industry networking event and the consensus from many was 'this is the BEST time to go.' tourism is of course hurting there terribly so you've seen all of the deals that are to be had. and, there are actually more cases of swine flu here than there now. hotels are giving away room nights left and right, air is going for less than $300/ round trip. it's nuts!

Mexico is perfectly FINE to go to. Like an above poster mentioned, theres more deaths HERE now. If you are in good health, I would go..in fact we might go in August!
They do really have some great deals right now too
