we just went last summer..
we went to the Big Island for 5 days and stayed in Waikoloa in a condo run by Resortquest properties. It had daily cleaning service, etc just like a hotel. It was really nice, in good shape, comfy bed, huge 2 person shower, small kitchen and washer/dryer. The complex was called The Shores
Then we went to Kauai for 5 days and stayed near Kapaa at the Resortquest Maikaiwa Beach. This was also a nice hotel, not super fancy but clean, we upgraded to an ocean view room when we got there, they had a decent pool and hot tub there, and a restaurant and bar with lve music pretty much every night. Pretty good location, too-- we spent most of our time just driving around in the rental car exploring the island

Yes. We stayed at the Four Seasons in Maui and the Four Seasons in Lanai.

We stayed at the Four Seasons on the Big Island. We had an amazing time.
