Re: Drinks
I water down some juices, drink a lot of seltzer. Honestly, water has become my favorite thing to drink. It's the only thing that really keeps me from feeling thirsty. I do, however, drink a lot of the powder mixed fruit punch from the supermarket because I water it down so much.

I actually love your water down idea. Maybe I will buy apple juice and use half water...at least its less calories. Thanks!

Re: Drinks
I drank everything that I drank pre-preggo but in moderation. I had coffee everyday, diet soda when we went out and for lunch sometimes and crystal light all the time. My son was born as healthy as anything. I could NEVER just live on milk (YUCK) and water alone. Thats nuts!

I don't know to be honest. I look at it this way: I don't smoke, gave up alcohol, caffine, shellfish, etc., I'm keeping a little sugar. I drank it with Sarah and she's not hyper active or anything. It's not like I'm drinking 8 glasses of it a day. I have mainly water and then 1-2 glasses of iced tea or kool aid or something.

You girls are making me crave my crystal light iced tea! I lived on that before getting pregnant, and my doctor said not to have it, but now I really, really want it!

Re: Drinks
Without gatorade I wouldn't have made it through my 1st trimester!!
I have been drinking decaf coffee, snapples, coke, oj, watered down juices, water and chocolate milk. When I want some fast flavored water I drink the propel water by gatorade-yummy. I cut diet drinks out during my 1st trimester, and when I tried to drink em again, they gave me huge headaches, so there those went.
There's no way i could live on milk and water. I am having a hard time just drinking enough water, can't stand it anymore!

How about V8 Splash drinks - they come in a variety of flavors and the Berry Splash tastes like Fruit Punch and it is very good.

Re: Drinks
I drink gatorade when I feel really thirsty and it works. I pretty much let myself drink what i want in moderation.
I also drink Vitamin Water, Diet Coke and Nestea Ice Tea. My doctor is not very strict in this sense. He just says in modertaion. I could never just live on water and milk.
And as my Mom told me when she was pregnant with me she drank about 6 Tabs/Pepsi Right a day.

Re: Drinks
Besides regular water, I drink the flavored water (Fruit2O), and I water down juices -- grape, orange, and lemonade. I really like them like that. I also do still drink diet soda -- only those with Splenda. Pepsi One is the easiest to find. My doc told me I could have 1 cup of regular coffee per day, which contains 150mg of caffeine. Since I am not a coffee drinker, I allow myself to use that for soda. Diet cola drinks have 50mg of caffeine per 12oz serving. Also keep in mind that other things you eat and drink also add water to your body -- such as soup, jello, fruit and some veggies with high water content.

Re: Drinks
You can have juice, but I would mix it with water. I have also had decaf ice tea throughout this pregnancy, but again not too sweet.

Re: Drinks
I have a hard time drinking anything without bubbles. I get heart burn and reflux from water and juices. I've been mixing the juices with seltzer.

Re: Drinks
I drink a lot of Gatorade, but to cut down on the sugar and calories I water it down. Usually a little more than half water and the rest Gatorade. I do the same thing with juice a lot too. Other than that I drink a lot of water, milk and flavored seltzer.
