I am in my 5th week and am beggining to get nauseas. I feel like right before having a stomach virus but havent yet puked. Is there something to subside this? Also when will it end?

Re: Nauseas
mine started around the same time yours is
Gatorade worked wonders for me! I drank a glass before I got out of bed in the am, then sipped it throughout the day. I never really puked alot, just the 24/7 dizzies.
Also try to not let your stomach get empty, it makes nausea worse. Eat lots of mini meals throughout the day.
My nausea went away at about 11 weeks.
Hang in there Just remember throughout it all you are having a baby and it will be sooo worth it!

Re: Nauseas
I'm 7 weeks and I find that I have to eat, even if I don't want to. That has worked for me so far.

Re: Nauseas
mine ended on my 12th week. i woke up that morning and it was all gone, it was a miracle, LOL. but some things that may help are ginger snap cookies, ginerale, rot hot candies, atomic fireball candies. personally nothing ever helped for me. but my mil was just diagonesd with lung cancer and she gets very nausaus from her chemo. so i told her to try these things. and they work for her!!! she swears by the red hot candies. so give them a try.

Re: Nauseas
Thanks for the ideas. Today was the first morning I woke up okay. Also, can you drink gatorade while pregnant? I read that above. Ive only been drinking water bc I cant figure out what doesnt have artificial sweetners. I am a huge crystal lite fan but of course...had to stop that.

Re: Nauseas
Besides what is already posted here, I also had success with Saltines, pretzels and lemonade. I know that you don't want to drink alot of stuff that is loaded with sugar, as I didn't either. I just drank regular stuff (lemondade, OJ, other juice) and watered them down at least half-way instead of buying the "lite" ones. It will give you flavor and also help you take in your water. I found that drinking straight water made me more nauseous. It does really help not to let your stomach get empty. Finally, you can drink low calorie beverages sweetened with Splenda. Splenda is made from the sugar molecule, and it does not cross the placenta. NutraSweet (aspartame) is a no-no. Good luck.

Re: Nauseas
For my first pregnancy, I was sick right up until my 12th week. Sucking on peppermints helped a lot for some reason.
