New to TTC

Hey girls. Im new to the boards and was just hoping for some advice.

I have lurked through these posts for a few months and now that DH and I decided to start TTC, Im alittle worried there is ALOT I dont know.

Ive been off BC since Nov 2008 (After being on numerous different types for 8 years or so) Im 26, in pretty good shape, is there anything I should be doing or anything I should be checking for?

Im worried that maybe Im not ovulating. I have read some stories about women that it takes months after coming off BC to even ovulate again. This is stuff I never even thought of.

Any advice? Im not looking to get pg like this month or anything but within the next couple of months.

Welcome!!! First I would start taking a prenatal vitamin.

I would suggest using ovulation predictor Kits to see and make sure that you are in fact ovulating and just to get an idea of what your cycles are like.

Thanks...I guess the first set is OPK. ( I had to make sure I had the right lingo on that )

probably a stupid question, but how does that work? Will it tell me for sure that I am ovulation or just when I should be?
