BFN accuracy
Ok,
Here's my question...ppl can take a HPT early and get a BFP and that is pretty accurate. But a BFN isn't accurate until you get AF right? My DH picks on me cause I have POAS a bunch this month and have gotten BFN every time...but still no AF after being late for 2 days...so what is the accuracy there? I tell him that it's possible this month I O'd late (cause i dont' check) therefore my cycle is off....so what do you think? Have you gotten BFN after you were supposed to get AF...and then get a BFP?

Basically..
if you don't know when you ovulated, then you can't be SURE of when AF is due. You can only estimate based on past cycle lengths (which can be very inaccurate since many factors can cause differences in ovulation dates from month to month).
So, you may not even actually be "late" yet.
If you've gone past your longest cycle length and still test BFN, then you're probably not pregnant. Of course there are always exceptions...

Yes, with DS #1. I thoguht AF was about a week late & I was testing every day. I did not get the BFP until I thought I was about 6 - 7 days late. I Oed late, and was not tracking my cycles that well at that point(I was horrible at it).

But technically you weren't due yet because you Oed later.
