I am thinking about doing the whole temping thing this month as well as the opks so I really have my days covered and see what works for me. Can anyone give me the basics on temping. Where and how to chart them. Thanks

I would sign up for Fertility Friend. It is a great tool-you just enter your temps and signs. You have to temp the same time every day and temp before you even get out of bed, because it is very precise. You need a basal body thermometer to do it. Temps are very helpful to learn your body and to tell you when you ovulated after the fact. I personally use OPKs and temping in combination.

I'll be honest with you...I got a BFP last week and took my temp and didn't see anything major happen. The monitor was the best thing for me.

I second Fertility friend. It takes the work out of things and there is manual override if it happens to be innaccurate for you.

I used it for months. My RE had me temp and chart while doing unmedicated IUI cycles (which doesn't increase chances by much - maybe a percent or two). I got PG three out of 5 possible times as I'd go in when my temps shot up. I did that in conjunction with OPKs.
