"You can use it for your next cycle"
This has been said to me at least 3 times in my coversations with the IVF nurses in regard to ordering more meds and not using them.
I get it, my chances aren't great and many people go through more than one cycle to get pregnant, but come on..give me a break.
Maybe, just maybe I will have some luck? How about saying instead, well then you can donate them to someone else if you have a successful cycle..? Isn't that better?
Am I being too sensitive? I'm realistic about it but I'm hopeful.

They said the exact same thing to me about all the meds they ordered. I ended up being able to donate them.

 Try not to take it personally. I'm sure it's what they say to everyone, though it doesn't make it right. I agree w/ you- get in the mindset of telling yourself that when you get pg you will donate those extra meds to someone else!

Most of these people are so de-sensitized to the whole thing, they don't even realize their words could sting.

During monitoring for my 1st IVF at Columbia one of the doctors answered my question about the number of follicles I had (8 at the time) by saying "well we can always do this again". I was so upset and told my RE and she agreed that it was uncalled for.
But they probably don't even realize what they are saying.

I'm only 3 days into stimming so there was nothing to go by yet except of course my age. That's why I say of course my odds are not great but give me a break. Crush me before I even start.
I'm already a "donkey on the edge."

When I only wanted to do a single embryo transfer during my IVF cycle, my RE said "we will try it this time". Well, there wasn't a next time because I got PG. Try to stay positive!!!
