Non-TTC topic--But I'm going to LONDON for my Birthday!!!!!!
I don't know if you ladies have seen the hoopla over on the Travel board about lastminutetravel.com having an insane deal this week and next week. Basically for 15 min. a day (not necessarily consecutively) -- Mon-Friday -- 15,000 hotels on their site all over the world are only $1 a nite. Yes that's right, $1..and really it gets better.
After stalking the site this morning at 6 am--I got lucky and managed to book a 4* hotel in London for the week of my bday in November...7 nites/8 days -- final price? ZERO! ZILCH! FREE!! Apparently they say $1 a nite--but its actually free. I checked forums where people are talking about it...and ppl have even called and confirmed with the hotel they booked with and found that they indeed DO have a reservation listed...and with NOTHING to pay!!!!!!!
I can't believe I got this--we are gonna stay for free!!!!! I figured we wouldn't get to Europe for years, and now I get to finally go with DH!!
WOOHOOO!!!!!!

omg you ladies who have BTDT -- i will totally need your help! 
I plan on taking a day trip to Paris one day and hopefully another day trip to Ireland.
Gonna have to figure out the Underground/tube as well and how all the passes work and such. Can't wait!

We went to Paris from London via the Chunnel. I think it was a 2 hour ride. Check this site out London Pass , it will come in handy and I would definitely invest in the London Pass. It was well worth it and you get to skip all the long lines. I would also visit this site to get your underground tickets ahead of time. You'll save money and the headache of trying to figure the whole system out. I'm so excited for you. Have a great time.!
