When I went at 7, it was internal, but for the ultrascreen it was external.

External, I was exactly 12 weeks. I had a sono at 10 weeks and that was an internal.

Its usually external but if they can't get the right angle they will do an internal. I would dress for an internal!

I had the an external to measure the baby and then she did and internal to measure my cervix. I just had it done on Monday.

Only my first appt at 7 weeks was internal. Everything after that, including the ultrascreen, was external.

They tried doing an external, but baby was not cooperating, so they did an internal- got such good pictures b/c of it.

Mine was the same. Internal to measure the cervix and then she went to external.

I just had my 12 week yesterday and it was internal...it was awesome to see the baby jumping all around and see the heartbeat close up!!
