My Plan of Action & questions - update
So i had all the tests done and everything came back normal, dh's SA came back normal however i have very slight endometriosis and they said one of my tubes was crooked so i had a Laproscopy and a Hysteroscopy they removed any endometriosis, said my tubes are open and i think the opening to something was small so they dialated it
so now they want me to take a shot of something for 8-10 days to help i think stimulate ovulation and do IUI with that
my question is what is the shot they want me to take should i do a month of trying naturally before doing the iui, she said we have that option, but we'ver already been trying for over 1 1/2 yrs
thanks for reading and any imput or advice you can give
Update
So my doctor already called in the meds to the pharmacy its a mail order once called Freedom Fertility Pharmacy they send it one day fedex at no charge
so the meds are and forgive me for spelling errors
HCG Follistism Lovenox Ganirelix Progesterone Vaginal Suppositories
this is now getting really real

Re: My Plan of Action & questions
I'm not sure what they are going to give you for 8-10 days...you would have to get the name of the medication for more info. Personally, after 1.5 years of trying, I would go with the RE's advice.

ITA with Gerty! I'd go with what your RE says at this point.
I'm guessing it's something like Gonal-F or Follitism?

It's totally up to you if you want to try another month naturally.
If you don't mind waiting another month before treatment - then go for it.

Re: My Plan of Action & questions
Sounds like they are going to use an injectible medication to stimulate your ovaries so you produce lots of eggs for an IUI. The idea is to give the sperm many targets and increase your chances of pregnancy. Usually a RE will try a few rounds of this treatment before suggesting IVF. Best of luck!

Re: My Plan of Action & questions
I agree with moving forward after 1.5 years of trying.
Then again, not that you are "all clear", you may have a better chance of getting pg naturally. One month won't set you back very much.

HCG Follistism Lovenox Ganirelix Progesterone Vaginal Suppositories
Have they given you an injection class or video? You are going to have to do the Follistim, Lovenox and Ganirelex yourself - if not the HCG also. So you are going to need to know how to do these injections. Unless they are going to have you come in every day so they can do the injections, which I find highly unlikely. Anyway, I would double check with them about these injections. As far as what they do... Lovenox is usually a suppressant - so that everything starts off in the same place and you don't have one lead follicle. Follistim stimulates the follicles to produce eggs. Ganirelix keeps the maturation rate slowed a little so the eggs have time to mature and they can get as many as possible.

Lovenox is an anti coagulant-are you sure thats what they are giving you? Do you have a clotting issue?
