I just wanted to say how much I love all of you here!

Thanks for all the well wishes concerning my flare and my struggle with RA.

It really makes me feel like I have somewhere to go where people are willing to listen.

Just that helps sometimes! It is so hard to deal IRL because people just say the dumbest things to me. I never hear them here!

Like-
-You are too young.
-It is not a real disability like someone with CP.
-Why do you need handicapped parking but can wear heels sometimes (because I am not entitled to good days). But you look healthy.
-Why do you need all of those meds? Maybe if you stop taking them you will feel better? (It is not the age related type-it is my immune system attacking my joints!)
-Well I know someone with arthritis and they feel fine.
-Maybe you can cure it with just diet and exercise (AIDS is an autoimmune, obviously a very different one-does that cure AIDS? Is my body going to say, well she ate salad, so now we won't attack her today)

There are others, but oh well. If you got to this part of my post, I honestly thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I started a blog for those who are interested to document what I am dealing with. My goal is to eventually try to write a book or something, because if I can teach others about the disease or help someone feel better, it would be so rewarding!

i'm sorry people say those things. they have no idea what ur going through. i'm sure you'd give up ur handicap parking permit in a heartbeat to be free of flare ups.

If one more person tells me having a baby will happen if im relaxed and not thinking about it, i might punch someone. And im young, dont worry, blah blah. Im going on 30..im not 20 KWIM?

Yes...just yesterday I was talking to her b/c I was telling her about the dr. appt yesterday.

Her hubby was there too and he was laughing saying their friends told them it worked for them..LOL.

(u know at this point i may just consider it..LOL)

She said they spent months doing it every day and nothing worked..go figure??

Im sorry you have to hear that from people! My dad has RA and has had it for a while, I cant imagine how hard it is for you. You must be a very strong woman!!!!!
