Gotta say, I love the ear doctor!
My ears have been clogged for awhile, so I went to an ENT. Well, using his suction vacuum tool, he gave me a whole new sense of hearing. Holy crap, I heard speakers in our car that I've never heard before!!! Wow!

I was waking up in the am with my right ear being clogged. By the time I was getting ready it was fine. But no matter if I slept on that ear or the other ear, it was clogged. Then I couldn't hear the alarm clock. That's when I called. I can wake up to a whisper, so when I can't hear the alarm on the low setting, something's up. Wax and Qtips don't mix!
