Back from the doctor and I can't believe....
how much weight I gained! 10 lbs from the last visit 4 weeks ago!!! I had only gained 15 lbs in the first 29 weeks. How can this be?? The nurse didn't believe it and weighed me again. I was even wearing a pair of prepregnancy pants??!! Can I be this big??!! I know my fingers are swollen, but 10 lbs in 4 weeks????!!!!

Oooh...the same thing happened to me around the same point in my pg. I was doing fine with weight gain and then all of a sudden BANG! 10 lbs in one month! Part of it could be more fluid...blood volume, etc. Especially since you are fitting into pre pg pants (same thing with me) so try not to stress it. You lose so much right off the bat when the baby is born and you only have 10 more weeks to go.

Awww don't worry. This is when you start gaining more weight, the baby is growing at a faster rate. I have been gaining more now too, the doctor said that I am still within the range, so all is well. If they are not concerned, you shouldn't be either.

Yes Shelly!! Totally possible - in the end the baby will gain a lot of weight...a pound a week or more...plus the weight of the placenta, fluids you might be retaining and then what ever weight you gain.

Did you have your GD test?
Also, if you are holding water you need to be careful of preclampsia. Keep an eye on it and if you are concerned speak with your OB about it.

remember too that you probably wont gain much more as most woman stay the same or even loose a pound or 2 their last month.
