If you only saw a sack at 1st u/s when did you see a hb?

I had my first u/s last week and we just saw the sack and little round yolk. It was a very quick us and my RE said he did not expect to see a HB. I was 6w0d. I go back for another us Thursday 6w6d. There should be a hb by then right? I am just so nervous and driving myself crazy right now! Thanks!

i didn't see the heartbeat then. It was 1 week and 3 days later for me (i was 7 weeks, 3 days). We went back at 1 week and saw nothing more than the week before. The u/s tech (whom i'd punch if i ever saw him again) wrote, 'probable loss' in our file.

3 days later we went back and saw the HB nice & strong...

if you are off in your calculations at ALL - it could be a little longer to see....but try not to panic!!!!!!!!!!

At 5.5 weeks, I only had a sac, not even a pole. I saw the heartbeat at my next appointment at 8 wks. I believe they normally wouldn't have done a sonogram at 5.5 wks but I had one done because I had some bleeding.

They purposely didn't schedule the next appointment earlier because they wanted to make sure we would be at a point where we could see the heartbeat.

My first u/s was at 5w2d, we saw the sac and nothing else. They had me come back at 5w4d and we saw two sacs with the yolk sac and fetal poles.

My 2nd u/s was at 6w4d and there were two very slight hearbeats.

At 7w4d only one baby had a heartbeat, that was seen and heard.

I saw my RE at 5 week and I think 4 days....can't really remember and we only saw the sac. I went back at 6 weeks 0days and saw a heartbeat. It was VERY tiny and you could barely see it. I saw it again at 7 weeks and I def saw it then. Its amazing what a few days does. I'm sure the next time you go there will be a heartbeat

I saw the sac at 5.5 weeks. Went back at 6.5 weeks and saw a heartbeat

OK thanks girls. Hopefully we see the little hb Thursday. This waiting is killing me LOL.

We were about to see a heartbeat at 5w6d but I think that was really early. We go back for 7w tomorrow and hope to see both this time. Don't go crazy I'm sure everyone is different

I heard the HB at 12 weeks. I only had one other appt before this at about 9 weeks, where we saw the u/s.

i saw my RE at 6 weeks 0 days and only saw a sac (i was so upset). Went back 7 weeks 0 days and very clearly saw the HB. Totally normal to be upset and/or worried and I won't tell you to stay calm b/c that was next to impossible for me. It only frustrated me when I was told not to worry. The best advice I have is to stay busy and stay off the web! I swore I was going to have a bad outcome b/c of the horrible things i was reading! I hope the week flies by!

at 6w0d we just saw a sack, i went yesterday 7w6d and saw the <3 beat

We had our first u/s at 5w3d & we saw the sac but at the time we saw 2

I went back yesterday at 6w3d & we saw the HB & baby in one of the sacs & the other is still empty....RE said I would hear the HB next week...

You will be amazed at how much changes in that short amount of time.

First visit at 5.5 weeks - saw only gestational sac and one yolk sac.

one week later, saw two yolk sacs and two heartbeats!

At 5w6d, we saw the same thing - sack & yolk. At 7w5d, we saw & heard the heartbeat. The wait is nervewracking, I know, but I kept telling myself everything was ok because of all the symptoms I was having.

I saw the sac at 7w 4d you are right on target..

My first sono was at 8w and we were able to see but not hear the heart beat. At the second sono at 11w 1d we were able to see but not hear the heart beat again.

I was in my 7th week when we saw the h/b
