Very strange thing I saw last night..
I live in central NJ..
DH and I stopped to get dinner at Arbys ( and we were in the parking lot..I was facing him..
And all of a sudden in the sky (this was about 8 at night), I see a fireball shooting across the sky. I was like WTH is that! By the time he turned around, it had faded..
I’ve seen shooting stars – it wasn’t that. It looked like a firecracker except it was one single flame and it was real high up in the sky.
Could it have been a meteor? DH was like maybe it was a missile..
 I was like, dear God I hope not.
Isn't that strange??

That IS strange! I have seen shooting starts before, don't think I have seen a meteor though. I wonder what it was?!

Might have been a meteor.. i think we were supposed to get some Quadrantid meteors - it's the january meteor shower around the 2nd or 3rd- maybe that was it.

OMG I saw the same thing last night in W. Babylon around 6:30-6:45.
I was standing on my stoop talking on my cell phone and I looked up and saw something like a fireball shoot across the sky and then it burned out. It was really cool!
