How would you pronounce...
The Irish name Maire? I don't want to offend my client by mispronouncing her name!

Nope, sorry...I just looked it up...
What (legitimate) dialectal variations in the pronunciation of the
given name "Maire" are there in Irish Gaelic? Most of my local Irish
friends use a pronunciation close to the English "Mary", but in the
west of Ireland, it seemed to be closer to MOY-ra or MOY-a.
