My Parent and Dh pareants get along so well! its funny they both came from brooklyn and they have gone on vaction together again they are going away with my parents and us this year on a cruise in aug! its going to be hair pulling two parents at one time lol! but we love them both but yea they are friends and call each other.

Easy answer....THEY DON'T.
Well, I shouldn't say that completely. My parents have invited his over for numerous occassions in the five and a half years we've been together, but his parents have NEVER EVER invited my parents over. His parents also did not say one, single word to my parents at our wedding. Not even a thank you for hosting and paying for their son's wedding.
However, JT's sister and her hubby are very hospitable to my family. SIL invites my parents to all their family functions. I really think that JT's sister thinks of my parents as being closer to her than her own.

We all went on vacation together in 2004 and had a great time.
They only see each other about once a year, so it works out well.

They just get along.
They'll never be friends...there are just too many differences. They're practically a generation apart.
His parents are nearly my grandparents' age.

They get along fairly well. My mom/step-dad just think his mom is a little nutty... She just beats to a different drummer... And that his dad is anti-social... which he kind of is around most people (though I adore him!)
My dad and step-mom don't really know his dad, but they think his mom's really nice.

Very Well. They enjoy each other's company whenever they are together. My brother went to HS with my BIL, and my mom and MIL very friendly.

Tenuous relationship at best - for now. They will never be friends, but they can be civil to each other. I hope that it will improve with time.

Since my Mom can talk to a wall for hours and get along, they get along fine
Actually, they have all spent a few holidays together but it's not a habit I'd like to become a very regular one. My family is big and loud and I feel my MIL judges me since it's just her and FIL

They get along really well! I'm very lucky with that because they don't care for my sister's inlaws very much. Just makes family gatherings that much less stressful.
