They just get along.
They'll never be friends...there are just too many differences. They're practically a generation apart.
His parents are nearly my grandparents' age.

Considering that my MIL is almost as rude to my mother as she is to me....my mom could definitely do without spending too much time with my MIL.
My father, who I haven't spoken to in a very long time, did not like her AT ALL.

My family has never met FIL or BIL. (and we have been together for 11 years)
They met my MIL at the wedding.
They are very different from each other. It is weird because all four of my grandparents were friendly with each other. My kids will never see all 4 of their's together.

Ours get along amazing! In fact, my MIL and my mom are like 2 peas in a pod. My FIL is so easy going...he gets along with anyone! We are very lucky in that matter!

They get along too well! 
DH's parents are about 10 years older than my parents do there is a bit of a generational thing going on but they are still our parents, you know? Also, DH and I are both the baby in the family so they have that in common. In fact, my parents went down to florida last week and they spent some time with my ILs when they were down there. My ILs are snow birds.

Same thing here- my parents came of age in the 60s (*coughpotheadscough*) and DH's parents are well into their 70s, and very straight-laced. But they get along so well, our moms talk on the phone every week.

Horrible!! My mother hates my MIL for all the things she did and said to me. But when around eachother which is extremly rare my mom is nice to her and keeps it short and sweet. Thats what I do also around my mother in law. My plan is to kill her with sweetness!

They get along ok but there are very few occasions where they see each other. There is a big age difference between my parents and his parents. My family is overly loving and good and giving....his....not so much.

Our parents get along splendidly! In fact they call each other all the time, visit each other often, and genuinly like each other.
MOST of the time its nice...although its a bit much when both sets of parents come to visit us and stay in our house for a week.
Other than that, no complaints AT ALL! DH and I often say we are very lucky because we both got in laws that we like and like each other (it just makes life sooo much easier).

Our parents get along pretty well considering mine are a lot older, and my MIL tends to not socialize outside of her family. My parents have invited them over for holidays and I'm sure they're all going to get even closer now that DH and I are expecting.
