AF Cramps v Pregnancy Cramps
How can you tell the difference? Is there a difference? I just know this is AF but I'm holding out hope.

Re: AF Cramps v Pregnancy Cramps
For me there was no difference! I started cramping at 5dpo and could have sworn AF was coming early! I then cramped throughout the 1st trimester and my pregnancy cramps always felt just like my period cramps

Re: AF Cramps v Pregnancy Cramps
I've been cramping for about three days now and AF is due any minute. I'm sure I'll be back here within 24 hours to announce here arrival. And no, I haven't tested. I'm holding out.

Re: AF Cramps v Pregnancy Cramps
I've had cramps for days and they feel just like AF cramps but we got our BFP so I keep getting nervous...I guess that is why I tested 8 times!

There was NO difference for me. I got BFP on 11dpo and i think around 8 or 9 DPO i came on and said that AF was on her way bc cramps were in full swing. They didnt go away after BFP either til like 5-6 wks

Did you have any other AF symptoms, i.e. moodiness, tired, increased appetite?

Re: AF Cramps v Pregnancy Cramps
No difference for me. I didnt get cramps much -- only a little around 8 or 9dpo. I thought AF was coming early but then I got my BFP at 11dpo. The few cramps I did get felt JUST like AF cramps.

Re: AF Cramps v Pregnancy Cramps
I guess I'm different, I thought they felt more like a stomach ache/sharp stomach pains than AF cramps.
They would come & go, and make me really uncomfortable.
But I dont get cramps before AF or even that often with AF, so maybe that is why they felt different to me.

Re: AF Cramps v Pregnancy Cramps
For me they were just about the same as AF. I first noticed them about 3 days before our bfp and I've had some here and there since.

Re: AF Cramps v Pregnancy Cramps
they did not feel any different at all for me. plus i had no other real symptoms so i was sure AF was on her way. at 9DPO my gums bled while brushing my teeth (they NEVER do that and it was a pretty bad bleed) and i also got very nauseous that day so i was a little but if i hadn't been TTC i never would have thought anything of it.

I had cramps for a full week before my BFP and they felt pretty much the same, however I noticed it was mainly on my right side. It felt like strong midcycle pain that i usually get...

Re: AF Cramps v Pregnancy Cramps
They felt EXACTLY the same for me. We weren't trying so I didn't even have a thought that I may be pregnant until I was 2 weeks late. It could be a good sign.

Re: AF Cramps v Pregnancy Cramps
It's CD 33, I normally get AF on CD 32. She could be here any moment. I'd rather have AF tell me I'm not pregnant than a test. I'm afraid I'd get too sad with a test. For now, I wait.

Just an update. CD 34, still cramping, no AF, and BFN from pregnancy test. If AF is coming I wish she'd get here already.
