IVF Question
How long does it usually take to prepare your body for IVF. We are planning to do an IUI next cycle, but I have a feeling something is wrong with one of my tubes:( (just had hsg) If this is the case, I wonder if the doctor is going to bypass the IUI and go straight to IVF??????

Re: IVF Question
I don't know about other practices, but my RE required that I take a one month break before my IVF cycle to let my ovaries recover from my injectable IUI's - during taht month break, I had to do some pretesting for the IVF cycle.

Thanks I don't know, maybe they wouldn't make you wait, but you would have to get some IVF pretesting done (i.e. water sono) before starting.

Re: IVF Question
It took about a month I think to have all the preliminary stuff done. I had to do Provera, BCP, DH had to have an SA, I had to have a water sono, we both had to have screening blood work and I had to have genetic screening bloods as well.

Re: IVF Question
We also had to go to an orientation class, sign consents with a witness and get payment straightened out.

Re: IVF Question
When I decided to do IVF, I was told that I needed to give about 6 weeks notice to the RE. HTH!

Re: IVF Question
We got started relatively quickly from the time we committed to IVF. We had our original consult the end of September & I called to schedule our cycle October 10th. Now I am waiting on my ER date which should be this weekend.
