Re: ISRAEL- Tel Aviv Question?
Personally, I love to just spend time on the Tel Aviv beach Eat some hummus and pita on the beach and then take a stroll along the boardwalk at night - it doesn't get much better than that.
There's also a really nice outdoor market in Tel Aviv - located next to the market is Dr. Shakshuka - TRY IT. It's a traditional Israeli dish - YUM!
Are you up for taking any day trips? There is a beautiful, beautiful old city called Acre - about 40 minutes away, I think. It's really just mystical and beautiful - you feel like you're walking into a time warp.
If you're in the mood to shop, there's a strip of really nice boutiques on Shenkin street in Tel Aviv.
There's also a nice park that runs through Tel Aviv called HaYarkon Park - everytime we're in Israel, we take a stroll there - on the weekends it's packed - good for people watching
HAVE FUN!!

Your suggestions are exactly what I am looking for. I want to hit a museum or two and then just shop and explore! My BF has business for a few days (which is why I am tagging along) and then we are headed to Jerusalem for a few days. In February we are headed back which is our real vacation where we will go to the Dead Sea, Haifa (he grew up there), Caesarea and the Galilee. These are my first trips so we are doing a mix of the touristy things that I must see and then hitting a B&B at a vinyard up North and hanging out.
Thanks for the help!!

Ohhh if you're going to Haifa, then visit Acre then, it's really close to Haifa. I spent some time in the North with Dh a few years ago and we stayed in this adorable B&B and went to these two AMAZING restaurants - I'll try to find out where they are and the names.
So you're with an Israeli too? You poor thing
P.S. If you are in the mood to shop, definitely go to Shenkin. And pick up some of my favorite jewelry from the Michal Negrin shop while you're there
