Finance question - WWYD

I have about 2000.00 in a 6 month CD account that makes 2.23% annually in interest (sigh)

I have about a week before I can do anything with it... I really want to put this $ somewhere ELSE where I can CONTRIBUTE to it more... I hate having to wait every 6 months to deposit money. Its easier if I can put say 50 a month into it etc etc...

I don't plan on removing any money from it... only putting in.

WWYD?

I know someone mentioned they wish they had some extra $ to buy stocks right now... is that a better idea?

My brother mentioned an ING account.

this is a CD I have for my son in addition to his 529 account.

I apologize, I know NOTHING about savings accounts

i was going to suggest the same thing, ING usually have great interest rates, plus you can add at anytime.

Myself and many of my co-workers have ING,

ETA: ING regular savings is currently earning 2.75 APY

I have a savings account with Citi right now earning 3.50%. It's a regular savings and you can contribute or pull it out anytime.

I checked Citi but it's at 3.15%

STILL better than 2.25
