OPK HELP.....NOW!!
On the regular OPKs....the ones where you see 2 lines....
yesterday....only the test line
today (just now)... the test line and another one is very faint!!!
Does this mean I'M STARTING TO O!?!?!?!??!

Re: OPK HELP.....NOW!!
the OPk should show 2 lines....the standard line and the test line.
A + is when the test line is as dark or darker than the standard.
HTH!

Re: OPK HELP.....NOW!!
It means the hormone that the test is testing for (LH-lutenizing hormone) is starting to appear in your urine. Wait until the test line is AS dark as the control line, then get to BDing!!

Re: OPK HELP.....NOW!!
Per the OPK, you are not ovulating until the test line is the same or darker than the reference line.
But OPKs can sometimes miss your surge.

Re: OPK HELP.....NOW!!
I just forgot how these things work! I know the 2nd line has to be as dark or darker to indicate a surge...but I got overly excited when I saw a 2nd line at all since yesterday there wasn't one.
Oh well!

Re: OPK HELP.....NOW!!
Well I would say you should BD anyway as I figure if you go from no line to a faint line that something is on the horizon. Take for ex on thursday I had no line then friday I had a very strong line then today a second line but not as strong as yesterday.
good luck

Re: OPK HELP.....NOW!!
unfortunatly the second line shows nothing unless its darker or as dark as the control line.
And for anyone else...if you get a line it doesnt mean your close to surging. LH can rise and fall during your cycle before O. So you may see a light test line and then go back to no line and think you missed your surge. you DIDNT. YOu can get lots of different lines or no lines before surge.
All that counts is that day its as dark as or darker then the control line.
HTH.
And Rachelle- hope you get your surge FAST

Re: OPK HELP.....NOW!!
I had a lighter line for 10 days before I finally got a darker line - the good news is that the hormone is building so keep watching it will eventually get darker

ITA--I had two lines during my entire test period, of different variations. THe only day it meant something was when it was equally dark as the control line. GL!
