Re: drinking in two week wait
Drinking does not prevent pregnancy. But there is NO research on what effect alcohol has on a fetus. Researchers/doctors do not know if 1 drink is safe, 2 or more.
They do know that excessive drinking is dangerous for a fetus though.
I decided not to drink when I was TTC with DS, during my pregnancy with DS and when I was BFing.
I have stopped any alcohol while TTC.
This is a choice I made for myself.

Re: drinking in two week wait
Hi! In the 2WW I would drink, but minimally. So, if we went to a party at 8 and left at 12:30, I would nurse 2 drinks over that entire time. It ended up taking me 5 months to get pregnant. If I had completely given up drinking altogether it would have made the entire process a lot less enjoyable and probably would have meant we went out with our friends a lot less (they might have suspected something). I am not a doctor, but I would say have a drink or two, but just make sure you space it out over a long period of time. Enjoy the wedding!

I learned a long time ago, to not live my life around TTC. With that said, I'm not a big drinker to begin with, but if we were out to dinner during the 2WW, I wouldn't hesitate to have a cocktail, or a glass of wine or two with dinner.

Re: drinking in two week wait
I drank during my 2ww not a crazy amount but enough. I tried to resist but then i said heck if i am pregnant there is not blood circulating to fetus at this point. So i say go for it.

Re: drinking in two week wait
We were very lucky to have conceived quickly. I had a few drinks, ate sushi, etc. during the 2ww. IMO, it's way too early to have any effect. I didn't feel the need to put my life on hold while TTC, but you need to do what makes you comfortable.

Re: drinking in two week wait
You're fine to drink during the 2WW because the baby, if you are pregnant, is not connected to your blood stream yet. I have never really altered my life during the 2ww because there's no way to tell how long it can take.
