Is this your first month?
I would begin on CD 8, I forgot once (or twice  ) and I just began testing when I remembered and still got 1 high day and then my peak.

I bought a few months back -- this is the first month I was going to use it. I had a cold over the weekend so I missed out -- maybe I'll try starting at day 8

How long are your cycles?
CD8 is usually good to start EVEN with shorter cycles.
