Rubella?

Did anyone else find out during this process that they lost their immunity to Rubella?

We found this out in one of my various rounds of blood work so I just got my Rubella vaccination yesterday.

The RE said we can start meds in 1-2 weeks, since in doing so - we wouldn't technically be pregnant for 1 month which is the recommended time after getting the vaccination.

Re: Rubella?

Yep. I found out before my first cycle and had to get the shot for it. I thought it was interesting that I had lost my immunity to it.

Re: Rubella?

I found out that I am borderline immune to chicken pox. I never had chicken pox that my Mom knows of, neither did my sister. And she put us next to every kid that ever had it and we never got it. OUr pediatrician told my MOm that we either had such a mild case of it and she didn't notice, or I had allergies as a kid and the weekly shots suppressed me getting it. Oh well. I'm not getting the shot now, then I have to wait 3 months before I can TTC again.

You are supposed to avoid becoming pregnant for 28 days after the vaccine - according to the Center for Disease Control.
