Got my calendar - what timing!

Well, I went this morning and got my first IVF calendar. It turns out I will have my retrieval on the 24th of november and transfer on Thanksgiving. I guess it's good luck, something to be thankful about!

It turns out, my beta is on my birthday. Talk about timing! What are the chances?????

I believe there are 2 other people with the same calendar. It's exciting to have other people going through it at the same time!

Very exciting!!!
But, take a piece of advice - don't plan your life around that calender. Your retrieval date will change based upon how you stim, which will also change your transfer date.
Just so you know....I've had many plans fall through because I was basing things on my calender.

Thanks for the advice, I realize they can change, so I won't be making any big plans around those times! If only we could control our bodies!!!!

Re: Got my calendar - what timing!

LI-IVF must have something against Thanksgiving! I mean, they're actually having me take an extra week of BCPs, which puts me at a Sunday/Wednesday ER/ET that week.
Good luck! I'll see you in the waiting room Chat Icon

Congrats on getting started but remember the dates on that calendar are just estimates.

It's all about their start date for the cycle. My nurse said the first day for stimming for this cycle is 11/10 so I'm on a week extra too.

I usually figure +/- 5 days for retrieval and transfer. I've stimmed for anywhere between 7 and 10 days but this time, I think I may go even longer. Chat Icon

Re: Got my calendar - what timing!

There seems to be a few of us with november transfers. We should stay in touch to see how we are doing. This is my first IVF cycle and I feel a little overwhelmed!!!!

Hopefully, we can get eachother through this!!1
