Can I crash with a question...
....b/c it was asked of me and I dont have the answer. Thought you ladies might.
A friend of a friend of mine was 22 weeks on Friday and is due February 19th. Dates were confirmed via many early sonograms. LMP was May 15th.
This is actually a conception question but I needed to give you some background first....
Well apparently she BD with 2 different men.. ...(it's a really long story and there isnt room to explain it all)...
Daddy #1 was in the early morning hours of May 26th and Daddy #2 was in the early morning hours of May 30th.
In your opinions based on your knowledge of charting fertility etc...who is the Daddy? #1 or #2?
(Both Daddies know about each other and they have chosen to wait until after the baby is born to determine paternity-it's actually as nice a situation as it could possibly be b/c both men want to be involved with the child)
ETA: LMP DATE

I don't think we can really tell based on her due date.
It would depend on how long her cycles were, approximately when she ovulated, etc.
Sorry I can't help!

Re: Can I crash with a question...
IF she has a "normal" 28 cycle then my guess would be the earlier of the 2, but the second is not a stretch in the least. According to a normal "O" on the 14th day, conception occurred May 29, but she obviously easily could have O the 30th, or even later and it could be the child of the person she BD'd with on 5/30.
ETS: I guess #2 actually. How long are her cycles usually?

Re: Can I crash with a question...
she might be able to tell if she remembered the date of her last period. but if they changed the due date at all b/c of how the baby was growing, she might not know. that's only a 4 day difference.

Re: Can I crash with a question...
I went to BabyHopes.com ovulation calendar. If she has a regular 28 day cycle and her LP is 14 days- this is the information that it gave me.
Thursday 15th May 2008 - First day of your cycle
Monday 26th May 2008 - A little bit fertile
Tuesday 27th May 2008 - Fertile
Wednesday 28th May 2008 - VERY fertile
Thursday 29th May 2008 - Time to ovulate
Sunday 8th June 2008 - A home pregnancy test may work now
It could be either daddy. They both have a good chance according to this chart. Sperm can live up to 48 hours so, the morning of the 26th can last until the 28th which states is very fertile. Or Daddy #2 did it right after she ovulated.
My feeling is that it is Daddy #2.
Good luck to her. I hope it all works out.

Re: Can I crash with a question...
i used an online calculator as well. if you put in the due date, it says her LMP was May 15, which matches with what you wrote. it calculates that the day of conception was May 29th. my guess would be Daddy #2, but if she ovulates early, then it could be Daddy #1. so close together that it is hard to tell at this point.
