Went for acupuncture this week
I liked it
They also told me as far as eating that I should eat foods that are cooked and warm. Nothing that is straight from the fridge which is what I eat every single day. Also water should be room temp not cold which is what I drink everyday

Re: Went for acupuncture this week
Oh, me too! I went yesterday for the first time. I was nervous, but I liked it too. My instructions were slightly different.
I was told to eat LOTS of cinnamon and large amounts of organic red meat, raspberries, sweet potatoes, squash and eggs. She said no dairy and no cold veggies - salad, veggies and dip, etc.
She said I had too much moisture in my body and that is why I am infertile. Hmpfh.
I don't know that I buy into the whole thing yet, but it was relaxing (the most relaxed I have probably ever felt) and I have nothing to lose.

Re: Went for acupuncture this week
I thought the same thing about the additional appointments stressing me out more, but then I figured that it seems like almost everyone on this board goes for acupuncture and we all have a ton of appointments already.
I am trying to look at it as "the one thing I do for myself" as opposed to "just someplace else I have to be".
It really was very relaxing, and I know I sound like a loon, but the relaxation has lasted. It is two days later and I still feel a sort of inner peace (despite that my ILs from FL got here yesterday for a 10 day stay). Maybe it is a placebo, but I don't care. I feel better than I have in months.
I went to North Shore Holisitic in Oyster Bay. She came highly recommended and I like the fact that she is an RN (so she has a basis of medical knowledge). The location isn't convenient for me (I live in Lindenhurst and work in New Hyde Park), but I liked her and will happily go back.
FM me if you want more info.

Re: Went for acupuncture this week
I loved accupuncture during my IVF cycle. I didn't strictly follow the diet recommendations but I did meditate twice a day with CD's my accupuncturist gave me. Best of luck!!
