Re: How Many Strollers...???
I never bought the snap and go, because I had a peg perego, but my sil had it and loved it. I registered for a travel system stroller, and then when my son got older, I got the umbrella stroller. I LOVE the umbrella, its sooo easy, and the snap and go is really easy too.
Why not just register for all three? If you don't get them, oh well, but at least you have the opportunity of maybe getting them.

Re: How Many Strollers...???
i registered for 2. an umbrella stroller ( maclauren triumph) for short quick trips and my nicer stroller for longer trips like walks around the neighborhood -which is the maxi cosi foray.
what i liked about the maxi cosi was that the toddler seat comes out completely and i can put in the infant seat- so it's almost like a snap and go.
i can understand the need for 3 but i rather have no more than 2 strollers max!! 1. storage would be an issue 2. i would feel bad if i got all 3 strollers and saw that i was mainly using 1 out of the 3 most of the time... 3. i would hate to only get use out of a stroller for like 6 months and then not use it again until my next child
i would say find the stroller that will do everything you think you will need it to do and then get one more as your lightweight option.

For those who got the regular stroller AND umbrella...what's the difference between them? Can I just get one of them?

We didn't use the umbrella stroller until DS could sit up on his own. They have no recline feature and you can't snap the infant seat into them so I felt better using it when DS was a bit older.

And can you not keep using the snap n go because they get too big?

Sure you can just get one. I would suggest just getting a lightweight regular stroller then.
Difference is usually bulkiness and weight. Umbrellas are lighter and more compact, less cushiony ride and less support for the child. Basically good for quick trips.
Regular strollers (such as a Graco Metrolite) are much sturdier in back support and better for baby comfort level speaking.

Some do have a recline feature. I registered for the Maclaren Quest and it has 3 different reclines, but IMO it's still not great with back support. I don't plan to use it until the babe gets a bit older.

The snap and go is simply the frame for the infant car seat to snap in. So once they are out of the infant car seat, or can sit up and you want to give them more freedom/space or to be able to see forward while riding, you won't be using the snap and go.
I know, it sounds complicated. If you want to know more, I will post pics and details. It took me a long time to understand the differences but now I do!

basically you use the snap n go for as long as you use the infant seat- which can be anywhere from 6-8 months i guess... so basically when your baby outgrows the infant seat, it will have outgrown the snap n go.
to answer your other q, i would not recommend just registering for an umbrella stroller b.c they are only really good for short trips like to the mall and errands...airport.. train etc. they are lightweight and portable. no real storage or total recline features though..
i registered for 2 because i wanted something that could be used for nice long walks and something that could be used for short errand trips

Re: How Many Strollers...???
I have 3 but only registered for the Snap and Go. The Baby Jogger we bought ourselves(we used some money that we got for the baby our shower) and the umbrella I picked up at a consignment store for $19 when we needed it for a long trip on a plane. I only got the umbrella so my Baby Jogger wouldn't get ruined from travelling too much.

I will register for 3 also- a travel system, a jogging stroller, and an umbrella stroller. If I get them great, but if I don't I will just buy them myself.

Yes, 3 here.
I registered for a snap n go for the infant car seat, a lightweight umbrella stroller (Maclaren) for quick trips and a Graco Metrolite for longer trips (more comfy for a child) and better storage for mommy!
All 3 were already bought off my registry. People don't have to buy anything they don't want to buy so it doesn't hurt to ask for what you want.
Same here. As my mom always says your registry is a wish list. I registered for and got all three. Snap and go frame for quicker errands when baby is an infant, regular travel system for everyday use, and umbrella stroller for quicker errands when he outgrows infant seat. I did not register for an expensive umbrella stroller - I'm hoping to have a 2nd baby close to the first and hope to need a double one to invest more in. We are on the go a lot so convenience is very important to us! Absolutely necessary? No. But also not excessive IMO.
Same here. I registered for the Graco Snugride and stroller frame to use at the beginning. I got the Peg Perego Pliko P3 for later on. It's pretty light and will work well for walks around the neighborhood and longer trips. I also registered for the Maclaren Quest Sport, which is even lighter than the Pliko P3. It seems good for quick errands and good for an older baby. All of the strollers have been purchased.

registered for the snap and go and a jogging stroller...I figue we will pick up an umbrella on our own or if everything else gets purchsed.
Same here, I registered for the snap n go and the baby jogger city mini.
I was going to get the graco metrolite stroller that matches my infant seat, but when I really thought about it, we really dont need that and the city mini. The city mini is lighter than the metrolite & can be folded with one hand, so we are getting that one.

Re: How Many Strollers...???
this is one of the biggest mistakes i made - registered for the (extremely expensive) inglesina zippy.
ended up buying the graco frame to fit the infant seat, which is SO convenient and great AND CHEAP! ds will be one on sunday and we just retired the frame and infant seat a couple weeks ago.
now we've got this heavy, big stroller, when all we really need is a smaller, lighter umbrella stroller.
so having btdt, i would suggest investing in the frame for the first months, and then in a nice umbrella stroller for later infancy/toddlerhood.

I registered for the snap and go for when the baby is an infant...for easy/quick trips and the Peg Perego Pliko 3 for my regular stroller
Same here. The Pliko is light and I'll be able to transport it easily.
