Doctors Appointment...
I finally saw a doctor this weekend. It was just my Gyno but I needed to talk to someone. We've been trying since December 2007 and I don't really know what is going on.
Doctor looked at my temp charts and said that it looks like I am ovulating. He said the first step is to have DH come in for a sperm analysis.
Was this your first step too?
He said if the sperm analysis comes back normal that my next step is to wait until January and go have all my tests done. Does this sound right?

Sounds about right.
I went straight to an RE b/c I was not ovulating (PCOS) so they took about 15 vials of blood and then DH went for a SA, so it sounds like your doctor is doing the same thing with you.

He should also do a sono and CD3 blood work to check for pcos and hormone levels/thyroid

Hey sweetie! I am so happy to see you on the boards again.
YES, SA was our first step. We did that at the 9 month mark.
Once we hit 12 months, we did CD 3 blood work and HSG.
Seems like these are the normal tests for this stage in the game. We've been trying since September 07, so you're just a few months behind us!
Have you seen my blog? Right now, we just had blood work done yesterday and will be starting injectables and doing IUI this month!

Yes, many doctors will request a SA first as it's the least invasive test. But I do agree with the PP that your doctor should have you do CD3 bloodwork just to check your hormone levels.
