Clomid Side Effects...
i have to start the 'clomid challenge' on CD5.
I know that there are about a billion side effects and that by posting this i'll be opening myself to a bunch of them (by just KNOWING what they are)...but i'd rather know ahead of time that how i'll be feeling will be normal...and not freak myself out by going - i'm the only one!!!!
So - can you share whatever side effects you had to Clomid and how long they lasted???

What dosage are you taking? Everyone reacts differently, but usually on the lower dosage you have less side effects.
When I first took them, I took the clomid in the morning and had some hot flashes and headaches. THen someone told me the next time to take it at night, which I did and I was much better.
Others have gotten nausea, dizziness, night sweats..

I had zero of the dreaded side effects. The only thing I did have was very vivid dreams. Good luck!!

I am starting my second Clomid cycle today. Last time I was on Clomid (100 mg), the only side effect I really noticed was that I was very bloated. I felt like it lasted for a good week or so and I felt like I was wearing a spare tire filled with water! I am going to try to drink Gatorade this time to see if it helps.
I also had a lot of vivid dreams, but I regularly dream like that, so I am not really sure if it was a side effect of the medicine.

I take mine at night right before bed and have had really no side effects at all. The occasional hot flash but thats about it.

The time of day should not matter. I took 50mg at night and and had vivid dreams, night sweats, woke up dying of thirst in the middle of the night, had dizziness through out the day, bloating, and pretty awful mood swings.

my only concern on the time of day thing is that on CD10 - the day AFTER i finish the meds, i'm supposed to go in for bloodwork...and if i only took the last pill the night before - how accurate would that test be?
That's why i want to ask - if i'm taking the pill at 10:00 every morning, then CD9 will be my last 10:00 am pill. CD 10 - bloodwork by 7:30 AM would be cool...
If i'm taking the pills before bed every night, then i'd take them WAY before bed (since bed for us is between 12:30 and 2:00 AM)...so let's say i'm taking them at 10:00 at night...then CD 10 - my bloodwork is less than 12 hours later....

I did 50 mg. of Clomid for 2 months. The first month was not bad but the second month was not good. I had night sweats and major mood changes. Fortunately the side effects are very temporary and generally go away when AF shows up or you get PG.

I was first on 25mg and the second month on 50mg. I had side effects on both. I guess everyone is different. I had the craziest hot flashes and the night sweats were the worst. I was a little cranky and stuff. But really it was the hot flashes that did me in.

The only two side effects I had were hot flashes (sweat dripping down my back  ) and I started having nightmares for the first time in about 15 years!
But it was all worth it!

1st round in June- MAJOR headaches, tiredness
2nd round July- irritable
3rd and final round in Aug- zits
No month was ever the same
ETA: i was on cd5-9 50mg
