For those of you who had csections....

I had a c-section and everyone said when you hit 2 weeks you will feel great and they were so right..I was miserable the first week..But by the 2nd week from my delivery it was just a little sore..Hope everything goes well..

Re: For those of you who had csections....

For me it got worse before it got better - I had severe BURNING where my incision is - so bad that my legs went numb - I went through a week of that on and off and finally it stopped - It hasn't even been a week for you - take it easy and relax - it takes time... Hope you feel better soon!

Re: For those of you who had csections....

pain was gone by 2 weeks....

but each day after surgery got better...

Are you taking any pain meds??? For me, I found taking them inabled me to move, which sped up my recovery greatly!

Re: For those of you who had csections....

Everyone heals differently, but I was up and walking around like 3 days after I had my DD, I had pain but nothing extreme. Everyone was surprised as to how fast I felt better and was up and moving around again. I still had to take it easy, so I was off my feet a lot in the beginning. As for pain meds I just took tylenol when I came home and that seemed to help me a lot. It is normal to be in a lot of pain so dont worry u just had major surgery. I was in pain til around 2 weeks. I had some trouble getting in and out of bed (its a high mattress) but that was it. I took the pain pills they gave me , they helped so much!!

I think it sounds normal. I was in the hospital for 4 nights and I only started walking around relatively normally the day I left; however, I was still in considerable pain. I agree with those that said you'll feel much, much better by two weeks. You know, even 5 months later, the area is still tender for me.

ETA: Congratulations!!

Like the others that 2 week mark was when I felt back to normal.

AFter I was discharged I was in SEVERE pain.. the pain where the incision is was so intense I could barely walk and the pain meds didn't really do anything but make me tired. Its been about 2 and half weeks for me now and I only have soreness near the incision. I am so glad I can finally get around!

Like the others, it took me about 2 weeks to feel normal. I had a terrible burning sensation on the inside incision that lasted a long time.
